The deadline for lodging the Register of Beneficial Owners of companies with the Registrar of Companies is 31 January 2021. This applies to all companies registered whether trading or not. Failure to comply constitutes an offense attracting a penalty, ot exceeding KES 500,000 with additional fine not exceeding KES 50,000 per day for each day in default, is payable by the company and each officer of the company in default.
